"Having been raised on a working cattle ranch in the Upstate of South Carolina, horses have always been a big part of my life. My love and passion for the horse is what motivates me to continually pursue becoming the best horseman I can be. In 2012 I met Buck Brannaman and was inspired by his horsemanship and his clear teaching style. I enjoy teaching and helping people to better their relationship with their horse by sharing what I have learned and continue to learn from the horse and my mentors.“

Rebecca will offer these retreats in the spring and fall (2025 TBD)for those wanting a weekend at the ranch riding around cattle, trails, and enjoying the wide open spaces. Instruction will be given in the arena first before heading out. This is a great opportunity to take what you and your horse have learned and apply it to a job outside the arena. Lodging is available.
Starting from the beginning with groundwork to “check the boxes” and fill in any holes the horse may have. Transferring groundwork to riding and building confidence through balance. Riding will be in and outside of the arena.
"I had the privilege of teaching Rebecca for 10 years in Nashville, TN. During our time together I watched a mother of three find her passion in horsemanship. Not only is Rebecca a wonderful horsewoman she has become a very close friend. I have enjoyed watching her dedication, consistency, and desire to constantly learn and grow. If you get the chance to learn from Rebecca you won't be disappointed. She makes learning fun, understands how a horse thinks and continues to push herself multiple times a year to study and develop her skills with many talented horsemen. I feel extremely lucky to have had Rebecca as a student because her work ethic is top notch. It isn't everyday that you get a student that engages so deeply and decides to make this their career path. It has been rewarding to watch her develop her own horses and take on new challenges with starting young horses. My only complaint is that she is now located in South Carolina. Although I miss riding with her daily, I am so proud of her for achieving her dreams with her own ranch."

"In the 4-5 years I've known Rebecca she has hosted several clinics for me as well as ridden privately with me at my ranch. I've watched her ride her more advanced horse Rocky as well as youngsters with 30-60 rides. We've also halter broke yearlings and the like. Regardless of the horse's education she presents herself to the animal in a manner fitting for the horse. They always seem to try harder for us when presenting ourselves in this way! Good luck on the next chapter of the journey!"

"My lessons with Rebecca have elevated my riding and relationship with horses. As a high school teacher myself, I recognize how her background in education enables her to explain sometimes complex horse related exercises in a way I can understand. It has been a true gift to find Rebecca and to learn from her the Vaquero style of horsemanship."
~Anna Levey, Nashville, TN
"Rebecca is a gifted teacher and horsewoman! She takes the time to explain and show you the skills you need to develop your relationship with your horse. Her knowledge will help you build your confidence as well as your horse's confidence. She is always eager to learn to improve her horsemanship skills: truly a student of the horse!"
~Melissa Long, Nashville, TN
"When my daughter, Sammie Jo, turned 8 she took an interest in horses. A friend recommended Rebecca for lessons and I had no idea what an incredibly experienced teacher we were getting. Rebecca taught my daughter how to ride with confidence and focus, as well as safety and respect around horses. Rebecca takes pride in her work and in her students. I felt very comfortable leaving my only child in her hands. She is patient and kind, with clear instruction and thoroughness. We absolutely adore her and she has become a close friend to our family. I can't recommend her enough!!!"
